Another from today, waited for him to open its wings but it moved to the other side of the plant then flew away,

Monarch on butterfly milkweed.

I tried to shoot wide open to help with cluttered background, this is a small prairie restoration with only a couple mowed paths to walk on.

They do tend to be uncooperative. But it is still a nice shot.Good to see it in the prairie environment too.
