Seagull on Sunny Day
Lens: Sigma 150-500 DG OS for Pentax Camera: Pentax K-5 IIS Photo Location: NY, Lake Champlain ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F13.5

This is a crop of a shot I took the other day of a seagull near the lake. They are kind of nice to practice tracking with and sometimes are good subjects.

Wow. The sharpness in this picture is stunning, and it's "only" a K5-IIs. That lens you used is truly a gem.

I find that the K-5 IIs can do an excellent job if I use the proper settings. With the aperture set to F/13, I give my subject an effective depth of field, and the 1000 speed shutter can catch the movement well. The Sigma 150-500 DG OS (for Pentax) is capable of quite a lot.

I have a K-3 II and a K-1 II, but I use them for other types of shooting (landscape, people).
