Early Morning at the Riparian
Lens: Pentax DA 300 Camera: K-3 III Photo Location: Gilbert, AZ
Posted By: phx.david, 06-20-2021, 08:23 AM

Had to get out of the house for a little while today so I took a walk at the Riparian park in Gilbert before it's hot enough to spontaneously combust just going outside. There wasn't much flying.

I think it was irritated by another bird getting too close to its fishing spot.

Really really nice pix ... I especially like both the 1st and 2nd images... do you recall the aperture/shutter speed needed, and were any filters involved?

I hope y'all out West get some temperature relief & rain soon too..

There’s a young Snowy in pond 6 that is a little crazy. This looks like him. Too much sun I suspect.

It was actually on pond 3. There was a gathering of Snowies in the one spot were there was water. Still could be the same. All of the ponds are down considerably from where they were when I was out there 3 weeks ago.
