Here is M13 the great globular cluster in Hercules. Taken in June with even better collimation albeit a bit of an editing issue that I am working on.

Nicely done. What scope did you use?

Thanks! I used the iOptron RC6, manufactured by GSO so that covers the brands AstroTech, GSO, and MallinCam as well. It's not a great match for the K3II. The pixels are far too small for the resolution of the telescope, so stars become bloated and tracking/guiding becomes more difficult. But it works for now and does produce nice results.

Yeah, always a problem when you can't bin the pixels or match them to the focal length... worst thing is when you get "square stars" Anyway you did a fine job on this.

Yes indeed. Binning would be nice. Although I was given a Nikon D90 (shhh i didn't say that here) that I converted to full spectrum. The pixels are bigger and a better match. Haven't tested it yet though. If I could get my hands on a converted K5, that would be ideal. Pixels aren't as big as the D90, but they're larger than the K3II.

Really nice shot. Thanks for sharing.

As a teenager (circa 1965) I had a small 6" reflector telescope and M13 was one of my favorite objects.

Thanks Yeah the 6" RC is nice, but not so much for visual at f9. They're built for photography.
