Unfortunately these handheld shots (with the 150-450mm) are only fair to average, if that. But I thought the storyline has some appeal. I think the little boxes the juvenile Blue-face Honeyeater is inspecting are nodules for the local fibre-optics broadband service!! If you look at the far-left edge of the last frame, you will see that the two birds that are the main subject (the black and white bird is a Pied Butcher Bird) each have a companion of their own species looking on at the shenanigans.

Of course, for all I know, the bird may be a tech genius about to perform a major hacking!!!

Two days ago I drove into Los Angeles only to witness the ultimate foolish stupid behavior of "motorists" . By comparison these birds are highly evolved geniuses . Your photos are much more interesting and educational .

It looks like the Blue-faced Honeyeaters aren't happy with the Pied Butcherbirds getting in the way of their debugging of the NBN.
