Catch Me If You Can Part III
Lens: DA 300 +1.4 x TC Camera: K3 III Photo Location: Los Angeles ISO: 640 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F9
Posted By: nixxo2002, 07-01-2021, 01:52 PM

few days ago . i went back to same location .
this time it was the young Heron trying to catch everything he can . I follow him almost a hour ( it was a fun .......)
i left 150-450 at my wife's car , and i shoot with DA 300 with 1.4 TC .
i used zone auto focus with eye tracking in TAV mode . i made around 40 shots , and only few were missed .
all photos straight from camera JPEG , with out any PP .

The SOOC quailty is there alright and these are intriguing shots, who won? it looks like the snake was strangling the bird.

Great series! Bird trying to suffocate snake. Snake trying to strangle bird. Who won? (Probably not the snake; not big enough.)

Excellent series. But yes like the others, who won? I do hope this snake has bitten the dust.

Heron straggles a lot . a few times the bird drop the snake then catch it again . it was a public place next to reservoir . the kids come to close , and the bird fly away with the snake strangle around the neck .

I guess we'll never know who the winner was. At least the snake got to go flying!

What a unique series. Too bad the Heron flew off with the snake so we will never know who won. thank you for sharing these interesting shots.

Quite the saga!
Good recording of the drama. Good work done by that K3 in managing exposure and focus.
Angky.

A great series that is well exposed and sharply focused . It would be hard to complain about technique .
