That makes sense! This is the first time I've seen it in Southern Australia. In the past I've seen it in warmer climes - a thousand kilometres to the north!

The yellow really pops from the earthy tone background. We're supposed to have these here in Oregon but haven't been lucky enough to come across any.

I saw one in Brisbane which was orange, and I've seen other colours in the rainforests of southern Queensland, but I didn't expect to find them near Canberra. They are hard to spot - these are less than 2cm (3/4 inch) high.
