Smoke on the Water · **1 Like**

This was taken a few years ago. Sadly, the "fog" in the background is actually smoke from several forest fires.

None of the fires were close enough to be an immediate threat but that summer there were fires all over the Pacific Northwest. We had smoky skies for weeks, it was depressing.

mystic and calm mood,
here in Australia in Summer fires are very common and could be very catastrophic

I try to imagine it's fog which adds to the mystic, calm mood.

We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile
We didn't have much time
Frank Zappa and the Mothers
Were at the best place around
But some stupid with a flare gun
Burned the place to the ground
Smoke on the water...
