Sail Away

I used to do a lot of sailing. Things change, sold the boats and haven't sailed in years. I miss it. Seeing the picture makes me miss it even more...

He does. I can relate, I used to have a 14' Laser sailboat.

Wonderful shot! Like you, I sailed for decades - 1959 to 2014. Over the years, the boats grew in kind and size, until we sold Cut Time, a Catalina 30 MkIII. Sure miss it.

It does make me want to get out on the water and sail. I used to sail a lot in the summers and I miss it.

As said, excellent focus on the subject, boat and sailor.

I had a Catalina 22 for a while. Great little boat for 2 people and I once charted a Catalina 30 out of Friday Harbor for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for commenting. It is the sort of photo where you can easily imagine yourself in the scene.

I noticed a sailing dinghy hull in someone’s yard just tonight and recognised it as the type I spent all my spare time of two summers in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. A lot of memories came back, just like with this photo. Happy days!

Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.
Believe me...
