I went for a very muggy walk yesterday and wanted to make good on a promise I made to get some use out of my old Pentax primes. It was so wet I decided lens changing was a bad idea so I did the whole hike with a 50mm f1.4. I had people waiting, gear all over the bed, and no strap QR's on the old K50 so I used an adapter on my Oly em5ii with my pack straps and rain gear in case Elsa made a comeback. I can't recommend the combination as the 2x crop makes what is already a long lens on an aps-c(1.5) camera a bit TOO long and I had to do some tap dancing to get anything other than tight portraits and macro. The combo also weighs more than both my lightweight hiking lenses(oly 50-150 and 12-42 ez) combined. I hope the fast fifty doesn't decide to grow things again but I think it gave a nice soft look to these Hosta flowers.

The soft focus makes the flowers seem to blend with their environment. Dreamy is accurate. I like it.

The slightly soft focus works well on these flowers.
