Awesome detail in that shot, I love airplane pics and that's a great one.
Mike, were you panning or did you wait for him to fly into the viewfinder?

Ok you never wait for the subject to enter the frame, you pan witht he subject and you'll almost always get a far far better result

Yes Vespa, you just have to get the right conditions too, not too much over exposed shine

Cracking shot Mike!!!

So where do you usually hang out to grab these shots? If it's a highly covert operation, then I understand...

Cheers,
Marc

Thanks Everyone, there is no special place i stand, i'm at the flight line like thousands of others, also if the bomb doors opened you wouldn't have to worry as the bombs would fall well behind you as they carry the momentum of the plane.

That one was pretty nasty.....almost constant rain and a stiff wind that managed to find any gaps in everybodys cover. The pilots were reporting cloud down to 600ft at times and visability dropped to less than a mile, not the best conditions he he still it did keep them down low.the eurofighter driver managed to keep within the airfield for his entire display and was still shrouded in mist half the time! Some of the comments coming over the vhf were unprintable.......
