A Nice Dam View
Lens: 18-135 Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Eastern Washington

Long Lake Dam, located on the Spokane River at the time it was built it was reported to be the tallest dam in the world.

That's a Dam nice picture. the old brick work sets it apart form newer buildings.

I agree about the brick work. It's stunning.

It's fenced off and has security now but at one time you could drive right up to the building. I remember walking all around it even climbing to the top of the dam (that was 1970). The one employee I saw said to comeback when I had more time and he'd give me tour. Sorry, I never took him up on it.

Excellent photos. I never did have a chance to see when I lived in Spokane in the 90's The detail and composition is excellent!

Thanks! I don't think most people in Spokane know it's there. It's a bit out of the way.
