Crape myrtle in bloom

Nice colour. I find them interesting with the six "petals" arranged symetrically around the centre. Ours (pink and white varieties) have no leaves right now.

Nice photo. Many crepe myrtles are in bloom now in Arkansas. The ones in my yard will not bloom until late August.

Very nice! I Ioved the crepe myrtles back in Texas - happily blooming even on the hottest days!

It is indeed a "nice splash of color" ..or "colour" , depending where you are from!!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Just like how you spell color/colour, I wonder whether you call these crape myrtles or crepe myrtles depends on where you are. I was going to use 'crepe' in the title of this post, but Wikipedia seemed to indicate 'crape' was a bit more common. Not that it matters.

Beautiful colors. Crape Myrtles are gorgeous trees. Here in Texas they are blooming everywhere right now.
