Devil's Tower - A Different Perspective
Lens: Sigma Art 35mm F1.4 Camera: Pentax K1 Photo Location: Devils Tower, Wyoming ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F5.6

I just got home yesterday from a cross country motorcycle trip. Stacked up over 2500 miles and had a lot of fun, got to see lots of stuff and a lot of relatives as well.

My first stop was Devil's Tower, Wyoming. About 370 miles from home and a great place to camp.

That night, I rode up a dirt road to the back of Devils Tower and hiked up a little hill.

Here's what I took a little after midnight on a moonless night. This little image doesn't do it justice. Looks quite a lot nicer on my large calibrated editing monitor at full size!

Hope you like it.

Outstanding! Congratulations on a great shot! However, for some reason I keep hearing this little jingle in my head...

A really great pic of the MW and Devil's Tower. My wife and I were there a couple years ago and I got a good a great, in my opinion, shot of the tower from the parking lot. Never thought of getting a night shot. Good job and thank you for sharing.

Stunning. I used to live in Wyoming and I never went there. Big mistake.

Very cosmic. It must have been a great experience to be there on site, as already the photo (just seen on a TFT screen) is so spectacular.

As long as you don't have a Close Encounter Of The Third Kind. The Milky Way backdrop enhances the notion. An image to be proud of for sure.

Outstanding capture. The combination of Devil's Tower and the Milky Way is definitely a winner. Excellent work.

This is a really beautiful shot. For someone who is not American, why this Devil's tower is called that way?

Well, I like it! Probably one of the best known peaks for us outside of the US. Seen the movie maybe 4 times, so far

There are several legends about it. It would be easier for you to look it up online. It is a very interesting and magnificent place.
