I like the first one. The picture blends in better making your eye focus on the girl. I find the rusty looking one draw the eye to the rusty part... IMO JIMBO

I agree with Jimbo's preference and reasoning.

I'm with smf and Jimbo on this one, but like your idea. Just to complicate things a little further what not try a black and white version?

I like the first one because the colors compliment better. The second picture also looks a little like a grade "B" movie poster. My first impression of the second picture was, "she's living underground dressed for cool weather, what's she doing with a tan?"

I also like the first one, it's a lot colder than the second and compliments her attire.

Hmmm.

Gotta be different here.

The second one for me. The girl "pops" out of the photo to me where as the first one is a little bland and sterile for my taste. I find no distraction as the eye is naturally drawn to the girls face and eye make up.

Cheers.

1st version all the way. The rust and old paint overpower everything else in the 2nd version. You lose the shadow contrast and the mood is lost with it.

Well...... seeing that photoshop does give you God like powers how about

The desaturated scene of picture #1
The girl from picture #2,
black pants from #1 (nice sheen)
coat c/w fur collar from #1 (less competition especially with girls hair)

and on the seventh day you can rest - ha ha

@Devisor
both photos are very good..

For me I Like the second one, why? because It gives me a more detail of its sorrounding and the feel of something at the top of a rusty metal just my two cents. great lighting!
