I see Bees landing on these flowers all the time so something attracts them

Yeah the bees love 'em. But they're starting to take over the yard so at some point I'll be removing that food source from them.

Nice shot!

I think dandelions pretty up the yard quite a bit too, at least until the flowerless stalks are towering above the rest of the yard. They are also edible.

Nice shot!

Dandelion greens(and polk and other wild foods) helped bridge the gap in the dark ages when my dad had the hair brained idea to homestead after "retiring" with 20 years in the navy(in his 30's). We had 14 people and more cats at one point before taxes and banks and broken things piled up and he had to go back to work. --sideways but related, I scored about ten lbs of chanterelle mushrooms today.
