Yikes!!!
Lens: 55-300 Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Riverside State Park

I'm sure it was my imagination but 3 or 4 of these guys seemed to be following me one day when I was hiking with the camera. It was a bit creepy.

Sometimes you just have to shout "I'm not dead yet!" very convincingly.

Nice creepy photo.

you disappointed them by making it home ok - they''ll be waiting again if you return, you've been warned.

I admit it must be rather disturbing. Anyway, good shot.

When my wife and I are walking, she always says that the circling vultures are waiting for us to drop while climbing back up the hill to home. Nice photo.

LOL, my wife referrers to it as "tipping over". In reality my guess is, coincidence or they were interested in my little (20#) dog that was with me. Still when I imagine an image of "death" that's it.

It seems they follow me when I go on a long bicycle ride.

Several years ago I photographed several vultures feeding on a large catfish. I took lots of photos and was sure I had some keepers. I got home and couldn't find any images on the card or PC. I tried a couple recovery programs but nothing showed up. I must not have copied them before I formatted the card.

I hate it when I make mistakes like that. Years ago, on my first trip to Glacier Park I didn't get the film loaded quite right so it didn't advance. The 36 images I thought I had turned out to be zip.

I recall the Peanuts strips that have Snoopy on his dog house in that same pose. Comical with Snoopy, creepy with real buzzards.

LOL, I love Snoopy but I'd totally forgotten that until you mentioned. Thanks for the blast from the past!
