I was actually trying to photo bald eagles when I noticed the mist and the sun back lighting the scene so I grabbed a quick telephoto landscape shot.

I love going to the lake at dawn but I'm waiting until dawn happens at a more reasonable hour.

Looks like an excellent time was had by all.

Whoa! Forget the eagle! This is a fantastic image!
Wishing I could get my lazy bumm outa the bed early enough to get some of these shots.

this is great - the light highlighting the mist, and also catching some of the trees makes a great contemplative image

Beautiful picture. I love that, beside the mist, some trees in the background seem to be hidden in the dark. It adds to the picture.

This was in December, mid morning. At my latitude the sun is very low in the sky that time of year.

Ah, yeah that does make it easier to get out. I'm ready for fall colors and early sunsets myself.
