Bull Elk in Yellowstone

We quickly got bored with seeing bison put the Elk were always fun.

Very nice. I like the composition of this scene, tall grass,, the elk and brush up the slope. Nice natural colors. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot. I like the framing. I couldn't get enough of the bison or the elk when we were there.

Nice looking bull. I like the layering of color from top to bottom. Nice work.

Thanks. Fall is definitely the time for Elk in Yellowstone.

Thank you! It was probably us but by noon on the first day of our first trip to Yellowstone we were getting tired of seeing bison. Especially when people stopped in the middle of the road to luck at them.

Thanks! Of course a lot of that was luck, we was where he was and I didn't have a lot of option to compose the scene.

Nice capture there. I like the background for the Elk and that its not tightly cropped here.

Thanks. It was tempting to crop a little more (this is cropped) but I thought this was about right. At a closer crop the softness of the 55-300 starts to show up.
