A few years ago I planted Milkweed for Monarchs and because I think its just such a photogenic Plant. We have a healthy if not overly healthy bunch taking over our garden but its ok... We started getting monarchs here a year latter and some years see many.. This year...only one or two so far. Today we saw one making what would probably be her last visit to milkweed. Shes old now and beaten up a bit..Has trouble flying but is still fighting the fight. I watched her laying eggs in a frenzy today, and am hopeful I can update this thread with caterpillar pics.

Congratulations! This is our third year of growing milkweed here in Oregon. Lots of different pollinators have used them. Still waiting for our first Monarch though. Fingers crossed you'll be posting caterpillar photos soon. If I could "like" your post more than once I would.
