Sunflower Corolla & Corona
Lens: SMC Pentax-A 135mm 1:2.8 Camera: K10D Photo Location: My garden fence ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F6.7

This poor gal had a few blemishes on her face--just nature happening.
But she really made a good presentation to me of what she had!
Couldn't resist giving her my best shot.
For that, I went back to a 14-year-old camera (K10D) and 35-year-old glass (135mm SMC-A f:2.8).
I never fail to be astonished at what that old equipment can do!
I hope the sunflower is happy with it.
(Oops--also violated some portraiture compositional rules!)
Angky.

The colour may have changed but it kept it's shape.

There's a fire down below - and the petals look like flames. Great shot. (And to hell with compositional rules!!! )

Well, *almost* the same shape--different gal this time. One petal has flipped over.
And you're right, the colors are a bit richer for some reason.
Thanks for the comment!
Angky.

Now that is certainly one way of looking at it, isn't it!
Thanks for the perspective.
(And I have to concur with you on rules sometimes!)

You almost quoted my daughter when she thought I should post it.
Thanks!

That's a beautiful sunflower. And a terrific photograph of it. Nice work. We usually grow sunflowers but didn't this year. I kind of miss 'em. Always a favorite of the bees.

Thank you for your appreciation of it.
Glad you were able to enjoy the sunflower image, though you didn't have the flowers themselves.

And it still is!
And I recall how hard I scraped pennies together to get any of those lenses, and now how inexpensive they are. And yet still producing great images, though of a bit different character than the new glass!
Thanks for the note and for the welcome reminder of good days.
Angky.
