A Close Encounter
Lens: Irix 150mm f2.8 macro Camera: K-3ii Photo Location: Cibolo Creek, Boerne, TX ISO: 5000 Shutter Speed: 1/640s Aperture: F9

of the insect kind. This damselfly was on a stump sticking out of the water. The sunlight was hitting the stump but almost everything else was in shade under the cypress trees.

So who blinked first? The eyes have it, but the lighting, composition and accurate focus all accentuate them – good job!
