A whale of a tale

A humpback whale dives and shows some tail near Stubbs Island, north-eastern Vancouver Island yesterday afternoon. Taken at 400 mm and cropped.

I'm glad you saw - and photographed - this spectacular sight.
Our family took two cruises on a 'whaling trip" out of Boothbay Harbor Maine ..... and never did see even one whale.
We did see the site where the musical "Carousel" was filmed, though.

Wonderful photo. I would crop out the island...so just the whale tail and sea are left....blow it up to a suitable pix size and hang it on a preferred wall.
