Sedona Wetlands Preserve
Lens: Sigma 170-500mm APO DG Camera: K-3 III Photo Location: Sedona, AZ
Posted By: phx.david, 08-15-2021, 08:42 AM

Drove up to the Sedona Wetlands and then down through Prescott yesterday. Had to pick up a new kayak in Prescott, so made a day trip of it. The one with the flower was taken with a K70 and Pentax-D FA 100mm macro lens.

I sit at home in front of computers working all week. My weekend trips are my needed escape. Thank you

Very nice series of images. I bet the wetlands there don't get a lot of people since everyone goes there for the red rocks and trails.

I'm guessing not many know, not many at all. Interesting place, but not really too photographer friendly. Not many openings to see out onto the ponds.

If there are 3 vehicles in the parking lot, it's a busy day. Thank you

Each lens and each camera did its work very nicely.
I really liked the intimate ducks shot. The water swirls, feather patterns, and the duck interactions.
Angky.

Beautiful images. Love the area. We drove through on the way to the Grand Canyon and wish we had spent a few days there, such a wonderful place. I have that same lens I purchased quiet a few years ago and I think I need to be using it more

The lens has actually surprised me. I had a Sigma 150-500 and could never get it to give me good results. This one had better reviews and I got it for cheap, so thought I'd give it a try. Thank you
