Excellent work. The second shot is my favourite but they are all great shots.

I never realized the mountains (before posts like this and from Thomas) were that big in England. I had to have a look on Google maps to see where you are and noticed there's a Cannock woods nearby. Sounds similar to our nickname " canuck" and I just might have to come for a visit someday!

Thanks for sharing Dave.

I really like the 3rd one. The reflections on the water really set it off.

I really like the second and third shot. I used to do a lot of hiking and peakbagging so the mountains have a special place in my heart. Add a little snow and I'm in heaven! A good reflection is always a +.

Peter,

Unfortunately we don't have any big mountains in the UK. Largest peaks are:
Scotland Ben Nevis at 4409ft
Wales Snowdon at 3560ft
England Scafell Pike at 3209ft.

Although I live in the Midlands (within 4 miles of Cannock Chase) the images above are all from North Wales which is about 2hrs drive (120miles) from where I live.
The peak in the clouds in the second image is Snowdon and the ridge connecting all the peaks in that image forms the "Snowdon Horseshoe" a fine ridge walk tho' not of Alpine or North American scale.

If you do ever visit I'll be happy to show you around.

dave

The second shot looks like a bit like an HDR image, very powerful.

I agree with the others...all great shots, but #2 is a stunner. Great colours and great use of foreground. Well done!

Nice work. Seems everyone likes your mountain scenes. I like your misty scenes.
