For those that didn't see this in the news:
As we look at the pic the top left eye is Venus, bottom right eye is Jupiter and the mouth is of course the crescent moon.

Snapped from my back yard (Perth, Western Australia) around 9:15pm WDST.

That is so cool. I heard about it but I haven't seen a celestal body of any kind in at least a month. Cloud and dreary. I don't know if it would have lined up the same here.

sigh.. I want to take picture of that too to test my 400mm.. but with Toronto's snowing and cloudy weather there nothing i can do about..

I hope to get home in time and get the camera out and see this. I will keep you posted. . Clouds in the area but still may have a shot at it

So mentioning I was outside in a T-shirt and shorts, sitting down with a cold drink and the camera on a tripod in front of me would be rubbing it in then I guess ... :P

Amazing, I was out driving and saw this - except in the Northern hemisphere, that grouping is upside down from what you show! (just think that's neat - right when I saw the image I realized you were in the Southern hemisphere before I even saw your location.)
