So many puffins
Lens: F*300 + 1.4 converter Camera: K3-iii Photo Location: Mykines, Faroe Islands
Posted By: rojaba, 08-18-2021, 01:01 PM

Had the great pleasure of spending time with the countless puffins on Mykines, the westernmost of the Faroe Islands. Took too many pictures to count but these are some of my favourites. BTW I absolutely adore the F*300

I can see why you love that lens!
And I can also see why you "took too many photos"!
Love these puffins!

Great shots. Puffins are interesting colorful birds. Your series of photos displays them very well. My son visited Scotland a few years and of all the photos he took, the ones of Puffins were among my favorites. Thanks for sharing these so that we enjoy them also. The lens and the photographer did their job.

Great shots, I love the way they fill their beaks with fish, always wondered how they do it without loosing a few.

Thank you, guys. I also wondered how they keep all the little fish in their beaks without them dropping out

Wonderful series! Shot #3 needs a caption - "You think that guy holding that thing will leave soon?"

Great pictures I like them all. The ones feeding on fish are really special.

I wish I could give your post more than 1 like! Puffins are my absolute favourite bird, we don't get many in this part of the world, so your photos have added to my wanderlust and given me one more reason to want to visit the Faroe Islands.

The top shot is fantastic for the composition and idea or order that it conveys
