Nature Red Peeking Through the Underbrush

Red Peeking Through the Underbrush · **1 Like**

Found this little flower peeking from behind a wood fence.
Thought I might like the peeking idea, so kept it that way as a sort of test.
It has appeal, but does it distract or help the image?
What do you think?
Looks a bit soft too, but that is probably due to hand-held at 1/30s at short tele length.

(Sorry about the bright red color without being a rose!)

Besides being a little soft, I believe there is too much light green blur in the photo. Making a square crop to remove a third of the bottom and part of top would minimize distraction and leave relatively equal amounts light green framing the flower.
