Some from my last day at the lake. The eagles were finally in spots where I could get some shots, they just weren't too into flying.

That heron looks just like a big, long, skinny chunk of dead wood!
Except that he has a nice pattern on his wing.
I like how the light shows up the most fierce-looking part of that bald eagle's head.

Another first rate group of photos. All well composed and beautifully taken. That shot of the blue jay is some thing special with the shading on its head shoulders. What is the name of the hawk in the third photo? It's wearing a mask like the Lone Ranger. Great work.

The heron was really fun to watch trying to find something to eat. I normally try to stay further away to not spook them, but the wind kept blowing me towards it. It didn't seem to care at all. Thank you
