Thought i would try out the DA* 300 at the Hummingbird feeder on a rainy morning. I'm sure i could do better in better light but i'm pretty pleased with this.

Nice detailed capture. Better light would have brought out the colors better, but this frozen wing action is nice. Was iso actually 32000?

As they say, "At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal taste." I believe it is wonderful and would not dare to even think of making any kind of adjustments. Stunningly brilliant capture, friend. Many thnx for sharing.

You have every right to be "pretty pleased" with this shot - it is a beauty!

Very nice capture! With hummingbirds I am happy to take what they give me. Is this a Rufous?

Pretty good capture Barry.

I find the hummingbirds are more active when it is cloudy and misty or raining, making getting good light a challenge. I've set up a feeder near a porch upstairs, and use some studio lighting to enable lower ISO settings. Then I wait, as patience always pays off.
