Soft Hills

The evenness of the barley stubble brings out the gentle curves of the hills.
The trees give the hills and swale their context.

That is how I saw it.
Does that show the same to anybody else?
Or what else is to be seen here?
I'm just trying to learn to to show what I see. So comments are appreciated.

The appearance of vignetting on the right side has to do, I think, with the polarizing filter adjusting the reflection of the sky in this fairly wide- angle shot.

The amber field of barley Is beautiful. The curvature of the land and shadows seem to cause variations in the tint of the barley across the scene. The polarizing filter seemed to slightly darken the sky. Nice capture.

Thank you, Mike!
Never have understood what makes a field of grain look so beautiful.

This is a very nice shot with good layering and beautiful colors and textures. The trees give scale and distance to the little valley that they sit in. Well done Angky.

Very nice graphic score. Elements flow together and produce a lovely image.

Sand dunes--yes! They have the same kind of photographic "attraction" that I can't quite understand.

Thank you for the clear assessment with details, Todd. That helps me keep in mind what I want to look for in my shots.

I appreciate the concept of "score" here--like a piece of music flowing.
Thanks!
Angky.

I'll make a quick note of appreciation to all you folks who posted. Along with the encouragement, it's helping me to train my eye.
