That's a mature specimen. The red eyes give it away. Hard to find shot.

Oh no......I have to tromp through the mud and muck, sometimes in freezing cold........and might get a shot and might not get a shot.
Most of the time, nothing.
That really is a well exposed image.
Thanks so much LightSpeed. I hate to admit, but I set up a kill zone for the hawks with my bird feeder in the oak trees. I saw a lot of doves get taken out over the years.

Thanks Peter! I was fortunate to have these hawks come jetting through my backyard a couple of times a day looking to catch one of the birds at my feeder. It was not so good for the little birds, however...
