Sandpiper series.
Lens: M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm F/2.8 PRO Camera: Olympus EM1X micro 4/3 ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/640s Aperture: F4

It's called a , Least Sandpiper.
These birds are really small. About the size of a typical garden sparrow. So you have to be close. At least with my Teleconverted 40-150mm lens.
Used an 1.4 teleconverter for effective 420mm on an m43 sensor.

They move quickly. Very fast jerky movement. Shutter speed of 400 or more is probably best when they're not flying. And good luck catching one in flight unless it's some type of set up shot
and you know where the bird is going to be for the burst.

The light was fading fast and I was forced to shoot at a much higher ISO than I prefer.
It could have been better.

Like the bird capture and the entire scene. Logs and water colors enhance this image. Good one.
