Just the flowers in this shot are fascinating with the double coils, beautiful colour. The whatever-it-is has huge "horns" compared to others I have seen. A very pretty image all-round.

Nice photo of a skipper which is sort of a combo of a moth and butterfly. The clubbed antennae are a giveaway.

Nice shot LightSpeed. It is a natural setting for this kind of butterfly, and it is on some colorful flowers.

Means a lot to me. Took a long time for me to get halfway decent at photography. I don't consider myself good at it.

Just a little better than I used to be. Learning about what makes a camera work, having it set up with the right settings and learning to use it under different lighting
helped a lot. But, getting a decent photo was something completely different. For what I do, subjects don't just sit there and let you put them under a microscope.
They always move, they are always on backgrounds that suck, always in thick un-useable clutter. When you think you have a good setting for a macro shot,,,,,,the wind is blowing.
Birds are even worse. Never where you want them to be. Landscapes? I don't have landscapes in Louisiana. This is by far and away the ugliest state for landscapes. It's very infrequent for me to landscape. I envy lots of you guys who live in places with beautiful landscapes. Anyway there's my ranting babble for the day. Thank you again.

Great color combo and comp. Not always the case but many moths have a feathery antennae. I agree with jbinpg. Probably some kind of Skipper.

Great color combination. The flowers by themselves would be beautiful. Adding the sharply focused butterfly among the flowers makes it great. Nice work.
