I love that facial expression. It is good they are able to stand their ground against the larger birds.

Cool shot. Smaller birds working in concert can often repel larger birds invading their territory. Mocking birds will pester hawks forever until they leave and often give chase to ensure the departure.

Thanks! It surprised me too. Sulphur-crested Cockatoos can be quite aggressive.

Thanks! Willie Wagtails will chase potential predators too, with little apparent fear. I saw a photo recently of a Wagtail virtually riding on the back of a Currawong.

Thanks! I have other photos of the sequence of events, but I liked this victory display. Plus it shows off the subtle yellow under the Corella's wings.

Yes, it's a small species of Cockatoo called a Little Corella. We have more species of parrots in Australia than most other places in the world. Where I live, there are Little Corellas, Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos, Glossy Black Cockatoos, Galahs and Gang-gangs amongst the large parrots, then there's many species of smaller parrots as well.

Thanks! Plenty of Galahs in certain places down here, and some of them don't have feathers.
