A Tree, A Ditch, and A Hill -- Minimalist?
Posted By: angkymac, 09-21-2021, 07:50 PM

Not really a "landscape" image, but that's the closest thing.
It's simplicity appealed to me. So I'm posting it.

This old lens doesn't report EXIF data to the camera accurately so you'll have to ignore the EXIF lens data.

If you see something here that you'd like to see improved, please let me know; I'll be glad for the opportunity to see it differently.
Angky.

Well, I am learning a lot about post processing lately. Your suggestion on cropping is something I need to consider as I develop into what will eventually be my style. I do sincerely thank you for it.
I'm thinking about attempting a re-shoot of that scene with the blue mountains excluded--if I can find a way to compose it out there.
Thanks again!
Angky.
So after looking again today... I like the blue more than cropped I think. I masked off part of the image by scrolling and I think the blue is needed.

Thank you for your re-evaluation; that is helpful!
I think the cropped would be good in a setting appropriate to it, but it would be more subdued--or "restrained"(?).
The blue seems just to accent the whole thing in this forum.
(And I can't seem to be satisfied without it! )
Regardless of it being cropped or present, I certainly do value your contemplation of it; that's what imaging is all about, seems to me.
Contemplation of the wonders that another person sees.
Thank you much!
Angky.

So much said about so little.

Yep. Minimalism is good. I love a good landscape.

Of course it’s a great landscape. The color palette is beautiful and the detail is enough. I like the composition and I think the overall result is balanced and appealing.

Yes, so much about so minimal!
Nothing in that image except a tree, a ditch, and a hill.
Thanks for the note!
Angky.

Why is simplicity of this sort so appealing?
But it certainly appealed to me when I walked down the road and saw it.
Appreciate the note!
