California Quail
Lens: DA* 300mm f/4 Camera: K-1 II ISO: 320 Shutter Speed: 1/1500s Aperture: F5.6

Walked out the back door and there he was. About 20 feet away. Got one shot without checking exposure and off he went. That's the neighbor's barn in the background. Well, a small part of it anyway.

Excellent capture Dave. They don't give you much time as skittish as they are.

Nice capture. You have to take the shot when you can get it. I haven't seen any quail lately.

Thanks Mike. We have enough around that they become a problem when the blueberries start ripening.
