Common Grass-blue Butterfly
Lens: Pentax DFA Macro SMC 100mm F2.8 WR - FULL FRAME Camera: Pentax K3 iii Photo Location: My Garden ISO: 640 Shutter Speed: 1/640s Aperture: F10

I believe I have correctly identified this butterfly as the Common Grass - blue or Zizina otis labradus
Quite tiny (1-2 cm tops). Landed on the flower stalk of one of my succulents. Hand-held. Moderate to heavy crop - was originally shot in landscape mode. (I find it quite awkward try to shoot in portrait when close up. On the KP with the battery grip, not so much, but I do not have the battery grip (yet ????) for the K3 Mark iii.

I've been eyeing the battery grip for the K3 III as well. I love this shot. A lot of detail and the flowers bring a nice color to it.

Which is more appealing?
The soft delicate colors of the butterfly...?
...or the delicate but vivid red of the flower?
Complementary, I guess.
Angky.

Beautiful, Mr. Pete.
Nice and contrasty. Good color. Sharp.
A job well done, sir.

That is good work, thanks for posting it. BTW, the battery grip is worth every penny.

This is such a wonderful capture, that I truly am at a loss for words to adequately describe my take on it. Every one of the positive adjectives in the English language certainly apply here.

A great many thanks for sharing this amazing beauty.
