Hummer with my K10D from over a year ago!
Posted By: codiac2600, 12-04-2008, 04:12 PM

I never had the chance to edit all the photos I had taken and now I've been spending an hour a day editing old photos and here is one I missed from an old batch....

I think it was a mistake passing it up

Taken with K10D and 50-135 at f6.3 1/500 and flash used.

Chris, I just don't understand how you can pull this kind of thing off! What a wonderful photo.

That is a great shot Chris! Looks kinda familiar to someone's else's hummer shots on this forum... now who was it?

Seriously, it's a beautiful capture - did you have to crop much? Usually these (almost pea-sized) acrobats don't come in too close.

Regards,
Marc

Excellent capture Chris
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I like him better than the birds you usually shoot. I think God had fun making those little guys!

Realy fine shot Chris. I was looking at DA* 50-135 yesterday and was impressed. I'm even more impressed after seeing this image.

With that focal length, I cannot believe you could get that close to the bird like that. Amazing shot.

Oh god, I love hummingbirds!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The little bee hummingbirds are only four hours from starvation at most, even if they've just eaten.

And I'm very glad this isn't a photo of a crap, pseudo-militaristic SUV.
