surprisingly no, she was just sitting like that, unmoving, even as the plane took off! Not many things genuinely surprise me, this did

I read somewhere the other day that it is common for people to fall asleep at takeoff as the amount of air in the plane is reduced at that point. (Probably less common though is to take pictures. Nice shot though.)
