Sunset Swim

I'm not only interested in feedback on the photo, but also the new frame resulting from an Imagemagick script I've been working on. Thanks!

The diffraction and reflection of the sun is a bit irritating, I think it would look better to take it out. Still pretty though.
I think the diffraction and reflection make the shot, and without them much of the mood would be lost. Isn't the subjective quality of photography great?

You're probably right Scott. The lines, angles and perspective can really throw you off on shots like this. Regardless, it is a nice image.

Thanks Morg. Doesn't matter to me who's right. Your comment inspired me to take a closer look at the rotation, put some thought into it, and hopefully learn from the experience.

I have many shots like this where there is an appearance of the horizon being slanted. It comes from pointing the camera either up or down, but the horizon is still straight as it actually curves a bit. This type of image either one likes or not. Personally I find it appealing.

Great image - lovely colors. I really like the simplicity of the frame.

I just had to save your image. You certainly captured a truly beautiful moment.

Thanks for looking and commenting Dave. After trying a few different frame designs, I ended up settling on the simplest one.

Glad you liked it Jeff. I have to give the coots all the credit. They swam past at the perfect time...All I did was trip the shutter.
