Nice shot, Rob. Do they have a nest hollow there? I saw a pair of Azure KIngfishers here yesterday. I presume they are nesting along the creek. I might have to up the ante by getting a pic of them.

And to answer your question, yes, their nest is a little higher up in that trunk.

Outstanding capture! I saw some when I was in Sydney a couple of years ago. They are incredibly beautiful birds.
