Frogmouth - taken from a boat on the Daintree River

I should have paid attention to the camera settings (again!!!!). Hand-held, but probably could have gotten away with 1/1000 or maybe even 1/800, and achieved a lower ISO.

The credit for that goes to the boat guide, and the private guide/driver (Jonathon Munro of Wild Watch Australia) I had hired for a 5 night/4 day Daintree River/Atherton Tablelands tour.

Excellent capture! I really like the pose of the bird, and the fine details of the feathers came out very good even at 8000 ISO. I have to get a set-up like yours one of these days...

Pretty good camo on that bird. It would be easy to miss. Good detail.

Wow! That guide does have some sharp eyes in his head!
