ID this hawk?

This hawk never got close enough for me to get a good shot. The dark head and clean cutoff of the head color has me stumped. I kind of think it's a Swainsons but the head color is off.. I wish I had a better picture, this is a pretty heavy crop too. Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

Looks like a Red-tailed Hawk to me, Tim. Note the belly band and the light underwings. A light morph Swainson's Hawk has the underside of the flight feathers darker than the underwing coverts which is opposite of most other buteo hawks. - Jack

That hawk looks like he is interested only in ID-ing what's scurrying around on the ground.
Hawk pictures are pretty hard to get; always so far away. And against the sky can be difficult to ID. I got one in a tree the other day, but even the still shot is too far away.
They seem to dislike staying too close to people on foot.
Angky.

A difficult ID from that this photo. If you lift the shadows some, perhaps the ID would be easier. It may be a a Red tailed hawk. I think dark head color and clean cutoff of the head color may be due to lighting.
