On Sunday Afternoon I took a short walk......

....down by the creek, the waterfowls (except some Canada Geese) have all departed for warmer climes. The Muskrats now own the creek an a couple of them posed for me for a short few minutes

That equipment combination really did produce excellent resolution, even to the surface tension of the water!
The shots themselves give a great load of info regarding the critter--better able to understand him.
Angky.

Good to see the critters in another place. I like the one crouching. I rarely see the back feet.

They are out enjoying the peace here as well. The geese left but the mallards are around. We still have 2 great blue herons that look miserable. The rest left weeks ago.

Thank you and yes the creek is pretty quieted, mostly covered bi ice with some open water and some overflow on most ice covered section. In another few weeks the ice will have taken over.

Really great shots, I'm a little jealous, I've always wanted an opportunity to photograph some of the smaller water mammals. These are solid.
