Formula E - Berlin 2021
Posted By: red5isalive, 11-23-2021, 03:47 AM

Dear friends,

Last August I was able to travel to Berlin and join the 2 last races of the Formula E in 2021.

Here I would like to share some of the picture of both days with you

Gear used was as usual: Pentax K3 Silver + Pentax K3-II and Pentax DA* 50-135mm f2.8 and Sigma 17-50mm f2.8.

That pic I was looking for it with the wall in the way

An issue here, I made a mistake and let the white balance wrong (for night images)

Here I decided to take a picture at floor level

This one is from Sunday

Press Conference on Saturday's race
Winner was Lucas di Grassi that was on the title fight, so he was checking who ended where for next day's race.

SMiles

Then there is an open roof Press Conference. Here Jake Dennis (that was also a title candidate)

Edoardo Mortara ended up 2nd

Here Sete Camara looking bored.

Haven't told you so before BUT Saturday I was only able to join the Race.

Events go all morning long up to the race at mid day but I wasn't able to join. I did thought on Sunday.
So here come some pics of the BIGGEST day, when the champion was about to be decided.

So about THE RACE that would decide THE Champion !

Norman Nato won the last race, here in the grid

Here we catched Jake Dennis (title contender) being out of the race after hitting the wall

It was a shame, the guy is quick !!!

I liked this window where you could not only have a vision of the car but the guy working there

Some beautiful light there

Keep in mind this was the first event that was open to get 100% public in the stands, so showing that was also important for me

At the end of the day Nick De Vries and Mercedes EQ where the champions after so many incidents

Great series - thank you for sharing!

Did you prefocus for the fast cars?

Good series. Haven't seen any "E-racing" here yet. The action looks good. Don't know if I'd like a plane making a low landing approach over the race track. Thanks for posting.

Yes its quite okay when you watch it live.

Don't worry that plane was there way before they even thought on having races.
It is an old plane from the US when the Berlin wall was there and this airport was where the Alies were sending goods to the Berliners. (so in the 50's, 60's.....)

This plane was on display only

A classic Douglas DC-4 - I like the shot with the sharp Mahindra car in front of it.

Another great series - thanks for posting these - we get to visit vicariously!
