Nature Riverbanks starting to ice over, Batiscan River, QUEBEC. 645Z + DFA 55 mm f/2.8

Trying my new 645 DFA 55 mm f/2.8 ED lens. Wonderful rendering of the icing riverbanks. We had 3 nights at -10 deg C up to now and ice is starting to form in places drenched by mist.

Still plenty of flow in that river, but I see what you mean with the icy banks. The water is still churning for now. Nice shot.

Exactly ! I noticed this stony bank on the left icing always first. The mist and spray keep the bank always wet and this film of water freezes first. Never get near this icy bank or you're a dead man !!
