It's a great shot. That was surely a deliberate choice by the pelican because there is no shortage of open water.

Like landing on a highway. Sometimes the traffic may be too thick. Nice capture with good detail and colors.

Very nice use of TAv for a very nice capture .. ! I am just learning how to use this exposure mode too..!

I think that camera's TAv "eye" works a lot better than that pelican's eye!
