Why a Pentax K70 would help me
Lens: Pentax DA* 300mm f4 Camera: Pentax K3 Mark iii Photo Location: ACT, Australia ISO: 1000 Shutter Speed: 1/640s Aperture: F4.5

Having a Pentax K70 would allow both my son and I to go on photo shooting adventures without sharing a camera body between us.
It would also allow me to have 2 cameras at sporting events with both wide and telephoto lenses attached as I am missing close up action when shooting just with the DA* 300mm f4.
Also, to have an additional high quality Pentax DSLR camera as a backup should something disastrous happen to the K3 Mark iii.

gorgeous shot and that quizzical look in the eye..

Made me think...years past Peacock feathers were to be had everywhere....though I've not seen any for at least a decade.

20 years ago there were a few in the forest behind our home and while we were away at work they would creep down and cavort and foul our decking....(peacock/hen excrement is truly odious )

One afternoon I arrived home early to find a Peacock on the deck and gave chase catching him by the tail in short order.

Warning warning Will Robinson !! never..ever..catch a Peacock by it's tail.... they have the most wicked spurs on their legs and can rake well back to where your hands have grasped.!!

Discretion being the better part of valour ...I let him loose immediately and returned to scrub our deck clean yet again.

@bobD Thanks - the only way I ever catch such animals is on camera hahaha. I see heaps of peacocks but rarely in full fan.

Great shot! Centre feathers look as if they are painted on.

wow - very nice photo!

I hadn't taken a photo during the time frame or would have also entered. I wish you the best in the contest!
