Joshua Tree Nat'l Forest, CALIFORNIA
Lens: DFA 28-105 mm HD Camera: Pentax K1 Photo Location: California ISO: 125 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F9

Joshua Trees grow in the Mojave Desert at a very precise elevation. Trees are separated by a fairly great distance as water is very rare and falls sparsely during the monsoon season. Finding a grove of healthy specimens requires some effort as dead or dying trees are abundant. Picture taken at 68 mm FL with the HD DFA 28-105 mm ED zoom on a Pentax K1 @ f/9.

Probably the most colorful shot that I've seen of Joshua trees. Like the colors and detail.

Vivid colors, busy background, I like the overall impression. Great shot!
